Hopeless Romantic

Darling
My heart
you have taken
You hopeless romantic,
if I said I could not love afresh
you know I was mistaken

Sir Knight,
I have a secret
a secret love for you
How I came under your spell!
I know I'm a dear hopeless romantic
but I hoped never to tell

Sweetheart,
you stole my heart
Though I said I would not
let my hear go, so soon, to another
I told myself nothing would ever last

Not after love's last pains

How I was mistaken!
oh my heart you've taken
My dear, I hope you're true
If your words are not as they say
Then go - I cannot bear to be forsaken
not so soon, not once more

I'm smitten
by your semantics
Darling, how can I speak?
I know my heart gives me away
Don't ruin this hopeless romantic,
Not with silly loveless antics

healing once over

Remarkable, it seems
that to reach joy
to attain happiness
you must endure hardships
almost be broken completely

How strange it is,
to feel whole
I had to be alone
to grow
I had to sever life.

but my heart hurts
for what I've done
Though things are best
and i needed to get it right
for now, it seems worst.

All in time, as they say
but how to endure
the trouble along the way?
my stomach churns
I want to cry til sleep comes

A cold, frozen heart
feel suddenly hot
and a hard spirit feels broken
against your sudden offenses
how long until we heal again...?

empathy, apology, lonely.

My heart, so stripped
if feels tender
broken
unmended once more

How I am vulnerable
is now different
ugly
not as torn as before

How I wanted to love
but could not
loveless
but I reject you not!

My heart cries for you
for the pain caused
so terrible.
same. I once loved you too.

My soul throbs once more
I miss you so
lonely
i wish you'd not storm out the door.

unwelcome

In love and hate
sacrifices are oft made
But what mattered to me most
may have been sacrificed
for I had no love to boast

But my heart was sincere
I wanted not to lose my dear
I loved him, but what I cannot ignore
is now I could only call him friend
-my heart will welcome no more
